Terms of use
Plain terms for a small platform. Read them once and you will know where you stand.

01Who you are contracting with
Rincón operates this platform and sells lesson credits. Lessons themselves are taught by the individual teacher whose profile you booked. When you buy credits you contract with Rincón for the credits and with your teacher for the teaching.
02Accounts
You need an account to book. Keep your sign in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has them. One person per account, because progress, materials and homework are personal.
You must be at least sixteen to hold an account. A parent or guardian can hold the account for a younger learner and sit in on lessons.
03Credits and payment
Payment runs through Stripe. Rincón never sees your full card number. Prices are shown in your chosen currency and charged in that currency.
A credit is the right to one lesson of the type you bought with the teacher you bought it from. Credits are not transferable between teachers or lesson types, and they are not cash.
Packages carry a validity window shown before purchase. When a credit expires it leaves your balance and the ledger records it. We email you before that happens.
04Booking, cancelling and missed lessons
You can place a lesson on a teacher's calendar only while you hold a credit for it. Cancel more than twenty four hours before the start and the credit returns to you. Cancel inside that window and the credit is spent, because the hour was held for you.
If a teacher cancels, for any reason and at any notice, your credit comes back in full.
If you do not arrive within fifteen minutes of the start, the teacher may mark the lesson as missed and the credit is spent.
05Refunds
Unused credits can be refunded to the original payment method within thirty days of purchase. Ask us and say which order. Lessons already taught are not refundable.
If we cancel your account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund every unused credit regardless of age.
06Materials and homework
Materials your teacher shares are for your own study. Do not republish them, sell them or feed them to a service that trains on them. The teacher keeps the copyright in what they wrote.
Work you submit stays yours. Your teacher reads it in order to mark it, and nobody else sees it.
07Behaviour
Treat teachers the way you would treat a person in a room with you. Harassment, discrimination and recording a lesson without consent all end the account, and no refund follows abuse.
08Teachers on the platform
Teachers apply, get approved, and agree a commission in writing before their profile goes live. Teachers are independent, not employees, and they set their own prices and hours.
Teacher payouts run through Stripe Connect. Rincón deducts the agreed commission at the time of the sale and nothing afterwards.
09Availability of the service
We try to keep the platform up and we do not promise it never breaks. If a booked lesson is lost because our systems failed, your credit comes back.
10Changes
We may change these terms. Anything that affects credits you already hold gets an email before it takes effect, and existing credits keep the rules they were sold under.
11Law
These terms are governed by the law of Colombia. Nothing here removes a consumer right you hold where you live.
