01What we collect

Your name, email address, timezone and the language you read the site in. Your learning level and goals if you fill them in. Your lessons, credits, orders, homework and the reports your teacher writes.

Technical records that every website keeps, such as the address a request came from and the time it arrived. We use them to keep the platform up and to find abuse.

02What we do not collect

We do not store card numbers. Stripe handles payment and sends us the last four digits and the result.

We do not record lessons. If a teacher wants to record one, they have to ask you first.

We run no advertising trackers and we do not sell anything about you to anybody.

03Who processes it for us

Clerk holds your sign in details. Supabase holds the database and the files. Stripe handles payment. Google Meet runs the lesson and Google Calendar creates the link. Resend sends the email. Vercel serves the site.

Each of those sees only what it needs. None of them gets your homework except Supabase, which stores it.

04Why we are allowed to

To perform the contract you entered when you booked, to meet accounting obligations, and for the narrow interest of keeping a small platform working and free of abuse.

05How long we keep it

Your account and its contents stay until you delete the account. Orders and invoices stay for the period accounting law requires, which is longer. Lesson reports and homework are deleted with the account.

06Your choices

Ask us for a copy of your data and you get a file. Ask us to correct it and we correct it. Ask us to delete the account and it goes, along with the homework and the reports, within thirty days.

Marketing email is opt in and every message carries an unsubscribe link. Lesson reminders and receipts are part of the service and are not marketing.

07Children

Accounts are for people aged sixteen and over. A parent or guardian holds the account for anyone younger and can ask for it to be deleted at any time.

08Where the data sits

On servers in the United States and the European Union, depending on the service. Transfers use the standard contractual clauses our processors publish.

09If something goes wrong

If a breach puts your data at risk we tell you and the relevant authority, and we tell you what actually happened rather than a sentence of comfort.
